Frequently Asked Questions

How long is a Therapy session?

A session slot is for one hour.

How many sessions will I need?

How often you see your therapist and how many appointments you have will depend on your individual circumstances, and will be agreed between you and your therapist. This will be regularly reviewed.

Will my therapist give me advice?

Your therapist will be impartial yet understanding. They will listen to you without judgment and help you explore your thoughts and emotions. They may offer information, but they won’t tell you what you should think or do.

Do you diagnose?

No, we are here to support you but never to diagnose.

I feel really nervous about doing this for the first time. Can you tell me what to expect?

You will be welcomed into an informal, comfortable and very safe space where your privacy and confidentiality will be of utmost importance. Everyone has different needs from these sessions; you are not obligated to talk about anything you do not want to; you don't have to dive straight into the deep end of what might be troubling you; you are free to express whatever thoughts or emotions you choose when you are ready to. I will explain my practice and my approach and we will discuss my working agreement. I will then ask questions to help guide us both to where you want to start. We will gently find our way at Your pace.
